I just wanted to write that.
For the past two nights, I've been grinding slimes in the Depths to get green titanite to upgrade my divine longsword from +4 to +5 before heading into the boss fight in the Catacombs. Joke's on me, though, because the slimes leave behind one of two kinds of titanite so it's coin flip even when I get a drop.
Despite a point of humanity upping my item discovery, it's been slow going. I might have to crack a black crystal for a second one (the rats drop these from time to time, which is a nice side effect of grinding in this area), which would be fine in the long run because I plan to unhollow my character so that I can double-team the Catacombs boss.
Is there are thing about how you get "soft" humanity from kills. I feel like some enemies give me a boost to the number in the top left without using an items and some don't. BTW, what level are you? I'm around 30 right now.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm 34. We should co-op this weekend--are you off Monday?
ReplyDeleteIt's my understanding that soft humanity is earned periodically by killing enemies in areas where the boss is still undefeated. I've gotten a bunch in the Catacombs, but don't get any when I return to areas I've cleared out previously. It took me a while to figure this out, however this seems consistent when I think back to my earlier experiences.
